In this section we offer you the following courses in Spanish:
Spatial data analysis course
Professors: Cristina Ronquillo Ferrero, MNCN, Dariya Odanovich and Mario López Mingarro
Course on spatial data analysis consisting of 8 videos.
Massive sequencing data analysis (NGS) course
Professor: Sandra González de la Fuente, CBM
This online course is designed to provide comprehensive training in the analysis of massive sequencing (NGS) data, from the initial assessment of read quality and alignment of reads against a reference genome to variant analysis and differential gene expression using DNAseq and RNAseq techniques, respectively. Through a combination of theory and practice, participants will acquire the necessary skills to process, analyze and interpret NGS data using key biocomputational tools.
Digital security course
Professors: Luis Hernández Encinas, ITEFI and Agustín Martín Muñox, ITEFI
Digital security course consisting of four videos on cryptology, electronic signature, cybersecurity and side-channel attacks.
Course on Mixed Models in Statistical Analysis
Professor: Luis M. Carrascal, MNCN
The course provides a comprehensive overview of mixed models in statistical analysis, starting with general concepts and ideas, going through their initial implementation with Gaussian response variables, and culminating with advanced extensions. The differences between fixed and random effects, control of pseudoreplication (sample, temporal and spatial) and the usefulness of these models for estimating within-subjects effects and partitioning variation are explained. In addition, formula structures, types of designs (random/fixed intercepts and slopes) and algorithms in R ({lme4}, {nlme} and {glmmTMB}) are described. Detailed analyses of residuals, autocorrelation, heteroscedasticity and common problems such as multicollinearity and singular fits are also discussed. Finally, models for non-Gaussian variables (including zero-inflated, hurdle responses) are explored, highlighting strategies for solving challenges in model fitting and selection.
